A great evening was enjoyed by 120 members when Joe Royle appeared at Gresford Colliery Club on January 17, 2014. Joe entered the room, carrying the FA Cup, to a standing ovation as Z Cars rang out. Joe regaled the audience with tales of his footballing career from when he signed at 14 for Everton. When he had finished Joe posed for photographs with members of the Supporters' Club before leaving to a standing ovation from the hall. It was truly a tremendous night and those who were lucky enough to witness, agree, will remain long in the memory. Joe Royle, Everton Legend and perfect gentleman.On behalf of Wrexham Branch of the Supporters' Club, the committee wish to thank all those who helped and supported the evening. Over £500 was raised on the night, which was a tremendous effort by all those involved.
